May 9, 2019 Cody Quillen calls himself a “branded Methodist.” He’s got the tattoo on his forearm to prove it. “I love the simplicity of John Wesley’s teachings,” explains Quillen, age 28. “I got through life with the cross and flame. It really did a lot for me. It saved me a time or two.” This fall, Quillen plans to have his tattoo “covered up” or modified into an Easter symbol.
