Nurture Ministry Team
The purpose of Adult Ministries in Holston Conference is to enable local churches and districts to be more effective in reaching out to adult persons of various age groups. Holston has specific ministries geared toward Young Adult Ministries and Older Adult Ministries with a part-time staff person to resource each of those age groups. An active area of Marriage Ministries also seeks to reach couples who have a genuine desire to strengthen their marriage relationships. Christian Education is an important component of Adult Ministries, as well. Each of these areas – Christian Education, Marriage Ministries, Older Adult Ministries, and Young Adult Ministries – falls under the direction of the Nurture Ministry Team.
Other areas of ministry at the Conference level that reach out to all ages of adults include United Methodist Men and United Methodist Women. These two areas of ministry fall under the auspices of Lay Ministry.
