Dramatic Christmas Musical
November 26, 2009
Dramatic Christmas Musical presented Dec. 6 at First United Methodist Church - First United Methodist Church, Hillsville, will present a Dramatic Christmas Musical called “Adoration: In Search of a King” on Sunday, December 6 at the 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services.
The drama was written by Dennis and Nan Allen and will be presented by the Adult Choir and actors.
Narrator will be Jay Allen Bough. Actors will be Drew McBride, Quincy Fichtel, Michael Collins, Adam Joyce, Shirley Varn, Brandon Huff, Kallie Scott and others.
Soloists will be Audrey Burnette, Jim Parker and Jeff Holderfield.
Cindy Jackson is the director; Janie Napier is the rehearsal accompanist and Bill Webb is media director.
The story is about the Magi who came from the East to worship Christ. These men left their homes, followed God’s faithful guidance and finally bowed before the King of kings. By studying the call of the Magi and their journey, we have discovered that true worship must not be a duty, but a privilege…a rare honor.
The prayer of the writers, Dennis and Nan Allen, is that through this musical, people would be drawn, as the Wise Men, to Jesus Christ.
Associate Pastor Ronnie Collins will preach at the Sunday Night Live Service at 6:30 p.m. The church’s praise band, SouledOut, will play.
Everyone is invited to attend.
FUMC is located at 225 Fulcher Street.
