Budget

The 2015 Holston Conference budget is $10,463,448. This represents the funding provided by our congregations through the tithe of undesignated income which allows us to share cooperatively in ministries that fulfill our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Below is the report of the Holston Conference Council on Finance and Administration to the 2014 Annual Conference and the 2015 Ministry Budget.

At the 2014 Annual Conference Session, the Holston Conference was recognized for three significant areas of generosity:

  1. 1)Supporting the Jurisdictional and General Church Apportionments at 100% for the third consecutive year.
  2. Having the Highest Church Participation of designated giving through The Advance in The United Methodist Church in 2013.
  3. Having the Highest Increase in Church Participation of designated giving in The United Methodist Church in 2013.

These recognitions are affirmation of the generous lives of the people of the Holston Conference.

The 2015 Conference budget of $10,463,448 was approved at the June 2014 Annual Conference. The Holston Conference Council on Finance and Administration (CFA) is seeking to maintain a high level of ministries while setting a budget that represents the funding level available through our congregational tithes.  CFA is confident that the proposed 2015 budget is sound and manageable for our Conference. Below is the 2014 Holston Annual Conference report from the Council on Finance and Administration and the 2015 Ministry Budget. (Insert link to report and budget)

In appreciation of the generosity of the congregations of the Holston Conference, the Council on Finance and Administration is providing a series of bulletin inserts and videos of lives that have been touched through our shared ministry and giving through the tithe and second-mile giving. These resources are available at waytogive.holston.org for use in your local congregations.  Thank you, Holston. You’ll never know how many lives you have changed. Way to go! Way to give!
