Collection of hygiene, cleaning kits continues Volunteers needed in Florida, Texas Financial donations to UMCOR requested ALCOA, Tenn. (Oct. 12, 2017) -- Holston Conference is responding to the post-hurricane crisis in Puerto Rico by collecting school supplies for the children. While most of Puerto Rico remains without power, many students from the island will be sent to the U.S. mainland to continue their school year, according to NPR and other reports.
